External Webinar: California Employers Legislative Update: What's at Stake in 2026

Thursday, October 30, 2025 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (PDT)

Description

As California's 2025 legislative session wraps up, employers are watching Sacramento with anticipation. Governor Gavin Newsom faces an October 13 deadline to sign or veto dozens of bills that could dramatically reshape workplace compliance in the state.

Many of these measures would expand employee rights, impose new obligations on employers, and give state regulators fresh enforcement tools. The bills cover nearly every corner of employment law - from wage equity and paid family leave to the use of AI in hiring, as well as industry-specific mandates affecting hospitality, trucking, and chain restaurants.

The decisions made this fall will set the compliance landscape for 2026 and beyond. Join us for a timely discussion on what laws the Governor signed, how they will impact employers, and action items for 2026. We will also be discussing other updates and reminders for California employers as we enter the new year.
