Train-the-Trainer Workshop: Just Drive Distraction Free Program

Description: “Just Drive” is a one-hour curriculum for commercial drivers designed to prevent collisions resulting from cell phone use while driving. Topics include the dangers and consequences of distracted driving, California Vehicle Code, and strategies to improve safety. The program uses PowerPoint and engages audiences with curriculum, video case examples and participant interaction.

In the Train-the-Trainer workshop, attendees observe a trainer demonstrating the ‘Just Drive’ class, followed by 30 minutes of instruction on the specifics of program delivery. Training focuses on tips for success and the review of support materials including class handouts and evaluation forms. At the conclusion of the class, each attendee receives an instructional ‘tool kit’ with all materials necessary to begin delivering this valuable safety program.
